COH / 孝 is a mother-daughter label born from a shared love for travel, antique textiles, and the art of the kimono.

The kimono is a crystallization of Japanese aesthetics—a treasure of creativity and craftsmanship left to us by anonymous artisans.

Our mission is to honor the original beauty of textiles,

such as Noto Jofu and Shosei Kasuri, by tailoring them into pieces that seamlessly fit a modern lifestyle.

One-of-a-kind garments where the superior quality of the weave and dye is quietly felt the moment you put them on.

Designer Profile

Studied English literature at Sophia University.

Worked in apparel and trading before living in Paris and Hong Kong.

Her time abroad led her back to the "minimalist beauty" found in Japanese craftsmanship and the Mingei (folk crafts).

In 2022, she founded COH / 孝 with her mother, a woman deeply versed in kimono and Noh.

The name COH honors her grandmother Kōko, who ran a Kimono Specialty House and lived with quiet elegance.
